A collection entitled 'Casgliad o hên Gerddi difyr a digri', being transcripts, with annotations, by J. H. Davies from manuscript and printed sources, notably NLW Add. MS 9 in the hand of David Jones ('Dewi Fardd'), Trefriw, of 'cerddi', 'carolau', and a few cywyddau, by Robt. The volume also contains anonymous poems and a list of 'Cerddi'r Te' or ballads based on the general introduction of tea-drinking into Wales. At the end there are an index of first lines of the poems included in the volume, an index of authors and a calendar of the contents of NLW Add. MS 9. The collection was compiled approximately during February - July 1902.

Memoirs [1970s] in Welsh of Kate Davies, tracing her family history and describing the Cletwr valley in south Cardiganshire, its colourful characters and their traditional agricultural way of life during the first half of the twentieth century. Also included are poems by her father, Daniel Thomas (1866-1942). Miscellaneous items, found loose inside the volume, have been filed separately (MS 23116iiD).
