'Some Account of an Ancient Welsh Colony, And their Descendants at present existing, In the interior parts of North-America. by Edward Williams...'. Inside the front cover is 'A Sketch of the Country of the Madogwys 1792' by William Owen. At the reverse end is a note written by (Capt.) Wm Jones, thanking his friend Edwd Williams for the perusal of this manuscript; 'hopes to hear more Authenticated accounts in the Course of this ensuing Year - would also be glad at any time of a line when convinient respecting plans in agitation'. Letters on Universal Legislation: Letter 1st - Introductory; Letter 2d - Commerce; Letter 3d - Fashion; Letter 4th - Great Cities; Letter 5th - Constitution. Written by Iolo Morganwg: the first letter is dated London, Octr 20th 1792. Incomplete.

(a) A copy of a diary or journal for 1786, with manuscript entries (including English and Welsh verse, etc.) by Iolo Morganwg. At the beginning is 'A Song in praise of Glamorgan' attributed to Sir John Stradling of St Donats; 'From a MS of the late Wm Roberts of Lancarvan, who told me that he had it from one Mr Bassett of Bonvilston, Grandfather of the present Mr Bassett'. (b) Part of another diary, year not given.

Three small notebooks marked 'Miscellanies', 'Lyric Pastorals', and 'Songs' respectively. The contents include early versions of some of the poems printed in Poems Lyric and Pastoral (1794).

Fragments of collections of English poems by Iolo Morganwg, comprising early versions of Poems Lyric and Pastoral and other poems not included in the printed volumes. Above some of them Iolo Morganwg has written such comments as 'In New Collection much altered' or 'Copied for press', and in one instance 'Copied 1803, for addenda'.

'Proposals for printing by subscription a new and improved edition, with aditions [sic], of Poems Lyric and Pastoral By Edward Williams,' followed by seventeen poems, including a few shorter items (epitaphs).

'The Triades of the Island of Britain'..: an English translation made by Iolo Morganwg in 1807 of the series of 126 'Trioedd Ynys Prydain' printed in The Myvyrian Archaiology of Wales, Vol. II (1801), p. 57 (in the 1870 edition this series occurs at p. 400).

A notebook containing a few Welsh words with their meanings, and some verses, nearly all in pencil ('tribanau' in praise of Glamorganshire, Montgomeryshire, Radnorshire, and Breconshire, etc.).

Papers, mainly in the autograph of Iolo Morganwg, relating to the case of the Rev. Thomas Evans (Tomos Glyn Cothi), who was imprisoned in 1801 for sedition (16 items). Some of these papers have been described by Prof. G. J. Williams in Llên Cymru, 3 (1954-6), 120-122.

Two memorandum-books or notebooks which belonged to Iolo Morganwg. The earlier of the two, marked 'Memoranda Hints. &c. 1805', contains triads, proverbs, 'englynion' and other verses, music, particulars of the contents of 'Ancient Historical Documents relating to Wales and the Welsh Nation', a work in two volumes 'To be published by E. Wms in 1807', various Welsh words with their meanings, a list of printed collections of Welsh poetry, including hymns, notes on versification, and a list of 'Traits in the Southwalian from the Troubadorian Poetry', etc. The other which has fewer entries contains, among other things, a note headed 'Ofergoelion am y Tylwyth Teg ym Morganwg', a list of Copper Smoke Subscribers and Judges, a few recipes, and a series of 'Pennillion Diarhebgoel' by Iolo Morganwg.
