A bundle of sixteen miscellaneous papers and documents, received from the Church Commissioners, 17 December 1975, mostly undated, and believed to have been compiled partly for the Royal Commission on Land in Wales and Monmouthshire, 1894. The documents are:. 1) List of queries concerning manors, showing certain leases and reserved rents (as at 1893) in the four Welsh dioceses, with file numbers added, n.d. 2) Notes of enquiry concerning the existence of surveys, reports, etc., for the manor of Trellys and Grandheno, co. Pemb., 1899, with file numbers added later. 3) Extracts from returns and rentals, Bishopric of Llandaff, 1709-1853 and post - 1884, with file numbers added. 4) Lists of file numbers and location (e.g., PRO), plus lists of townships, diocese of Bangor, n.d. 5) Lists of file numbers and contents, diocese of St Davids, n.d. 6) Summons to S.E. Downing to produce certain listed documents in a case between the Pembrokeshire Estates Commission and Samuel H. Hughes, 1899. 7) Notes regarding dates of tithe commutation, with file numbers, n.d. 8) Lists of files, Bishopric of Bangor, n.d. 9) Lists of files, Bishopric of Llandaff. 10) Lists of files, manors in diocese of Bangor, n.d. 11) Notes regarding returns made in 1849. 12) Notes on foreshores, Bishopric of Bangor, n.d. 13) Lists of files, Bishoprics of Bangor and St Asaph, n.d. 14) Lists of files, manors in diocese of St Asaph, n.d. 15) Notes concerning manors in diocese of St Davids, n.d. 16) Lists of manors, with notes on tenure, sales, etc., in the four Welsh dioceses, forming the basis of the schedule of ECE manors appearing on pp.444-7, App. M, of the printed report of the Royal Commission, plus an unrevised proof of that schedule.
