A Bundle of papers belonging to Evan Parry Jones, Manager to the Diphwys Casson Slate Company, consisting of reports and drafts of reports by him on various slate quarries including the Glynrhonwy and Cambrian Quarries, Llanberis, 1873, the Llyn-y-Gadair Quarry, Rhyd-ddu, 1881, the Bugail Slate Quarry, Ffestiniog, 1887, the Cwmorthin Slate Quarry, Ffestiniog, 1889, with a copy of a report by J. Brunton on the same quarry, 1883, Blaen-y-Cwm Slate Quarry, Penmachno, 1889, and the Snowdon Slate Quarry, near Rhyd-ddu, 1902. There is also material relating to the Dolgoed Quarry near Aberllefenni, the Llanllechid Mountain Slate Property, and the Clogwyn-y-Gwin Quarry, near Rhyd-ddu, together with printed matter relating to the Diphwys Casson Slate Company, Limited, and the New Welsh Slate Company, Limited. Also in the group are copies of two letters, 1883, from Thomas Jones, The Anchor Hotel, Coblenz, to A. M. Dunlop, esq., 3 Old Palace Yard, Westminster, concerning the Lehesten and Moselle Quarries, and a few miscellaneous items including a copy of a letter to the Ffestiniog School Board concerning Llwyngell School, 1874.

A bundle of papers connected with the financial affairs of Archdeacon Venables, mainly estate bills, but also including a notice from the Norwich Union Insurance Society and a report from the Gally Knight Fund with a covering letter from the Ecclesiastical Commissioners (583-600); a second group of papers and bills (601-610) concerning his connection with the affairs of his brother, the Reverend George Venables of Machynlleth, and the Trust Estate that was set up in an attempt to deal with his very involved financial difficulties.

The papers include cuttings of 'The Cheshire Sheaf', 1891, from The Chester Courant, the burgess ticket of Robert Campbell, weaver, Glasgow, 1815, and a letter, [19]01, from Joshua Hy Edwards, Mazatlan, Mexico [son of John Edwards]. There is also a sketch-book with some loose papers at either end.
