Salesbury in 1593 (pp. 55-70) and extracts from Greek, Latin and English writers (pp. 71-110); the manuscript also contains a copy of a letter from Sir William Boswell to Archbishop William Laud taken from the Cotton MSS (p. 34); an account of Edmwnd Prys (p. 133); and an account of Edward Richard of Ystrad Meurig (pp. 134-136).

A book of legal precedents (actions of replevin) written probably during the last quarter of the eighteenth century. One or two of the cases are of co. Mont. interest and mention is made of Penypark and Ty yn y wern, otherwise Ty David Ellis yn y wern, in the township of Ystymgynnon in the parish of Llanfechan and the kitchin in the parish of Llanervil. The first twelve pages and other pages here and there have been cut away. The pages at the reverse end have been used as a 'Day Book', 1859-60, by Elizabeth Edwards, [milliner'. The names 'Mary Ellen Edwards saddler Llanfair near welsh pool Montgomery' and 'Jane Edwards' occur inside the front cover. In a pencil note J. R. Hughes states that he bought the MS at Llanfair Caereinion in 1926.

The documents quoted relate to the lordships of Bromfield and Yale, Chirk and Chirkland, Oswestry, and Cowres, the boroughs of Holt and Beaumaris, and Oxfordshire. There are a few Welsh recipes and verses in the margins.
