Letter commendatory under the public seal of "the island of Bermuda in America" given by His Excellency Benjamin Bennett, esq., to the Rev. Thomas Holland, on the departure of that gentleman from the said colony to be exhibited by the bearer to any enemy into whose hands the vessel in which the clergyman is returning to Europe may chance to fall. The letter declares that Governor Bennett has distinguished himself by humanity to prisoners, subjects of the King of France, brought into his island.
