Observations, rules, and orders transcribed from the Journals of the House of Commons, 1547-1678, together with an index; a transcript of 'A Treatise Concerning Registers' by William Pierrepoint (? 1607-1678) [See BL Harleian MS. 1243 and Harleian Miscellany, Vol. III, pp. 320 et seq.]; a transcript of 'An Act to restraine the Number of Officers sitting in the House of Commons' [temp, William III]; and a transcript of a treatise in defence of the attitude of the House of Lords to the claims made by the House of Commons over 'the bill for an addicionall Imposicion on fforaigne Commodities1 [? temp. William III]. This volume was presented by Lord Sidmouth to Henry Hobhouse in February, 1840, and was in the possession of J. Harland in 1851. On the spine is lettered the name of I. Brydges.
