The properties include Ty y Monwm, Y Penty Mawr, Y Ty Wen, Yr Ardd Newydd, Erw Dole Woogan, Erw'r Llechwedd, etc., most of which were purchased by Eubule Thelwall of Nantclwyd, Denbighshire, between 1659 and 1684. Other recurring names include John Thomas ap Robert [ap Rees ap Thomas], John Lloyd of Rhagad, John Mathew, Mathew Lewis, Owen ap John ap Howell and John ap Edward ap David ap Ieuan

Legal papers of the Salesbury family of Rug, deriving from a dispute between Elizabeth Salesbury and Margaret Salesbury, and Roger Salesbury, concerning the payment of portions due to the plaintiffs under the trusts of the will of their father, Owen Salesbury, 1698-1715, and the case of Roger Salesbury about a deed executed at Ruthin, 1713, which may be indirectly related.
