'Llythyr y Rheithor at blwyfolion Llanystumdwy' ,

'Llythyr y Rheithor at blwyfolion Llanystumdwy', being a letter (4 pp., printed) from the Reverend J. P. Lewis, Rheithordy, Llanystumdwy, Dydd Mercher Lludw [Ash Wednesday], 1914, to his parishioners, opposing Disestablishment and Disendowment of the established church; together with some manuscript notes by John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'), possibly in preparation for an article.

Catalogue of Welsh ballads,

An interleaved volume (385 pp.) belonging to J. H. Davies made up of pages from Y Traethodydd, 1886-92 ('Hen Gerddi y Cymry', a catalogue of Welsh ballads compiled by John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'), with pages 346-50 from Revue Celtique, II (part of a supplement [by D. Silvan Evans] to Llyfryddiaeth y Cymry). There are numerous additions and annotations by J. H. Davies, including cross-references to his own Bibliography of Welsh ballads printed in the 18th century (London, 1911) and an index to the authors, etc. of the pre-1800 ballads in the 'Myrddin Fardd' catalogue. The numbers used in the index correspond to the numbers in the 'Myrddin Fardd' catalogue while the page references are to the pages in the present volume. Loose inside are a list of ballads, etc. by Thomas Edwards ('Twm o'r Nant'), Hugh Jones, Llangwm and Ellis Roberts, with number or page references as before, and a letter, 1908, from D. Rhys Phillips, Swansea to [J. H. Davies] (jottings on three Shrewsbury 'effusions').

Material relating to Enwogion Sir Gaernarfon, etc.,

A few loose sheets in the autograph of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') containing material to be found in Enwau Lleoedd Sir Gaernarfon: eu hystyr a'u hanes (Caernarfon, 1913) and Enwogion Sir Gaernarfon (Caernarfon, 1922). There is also a printed order form for Enwogion Sir Gaernarfon, issued while 'Myrddin Fardd' was still alive.

Gweithiau 'Fferyllfardd',

Holograph poetical compositions, including drafts, by William Morgan Williams ('Fferyllfardd'; 1832-77), among them 'Hiraeth y Bardd am Gymru' ('Y Llyfr Cyntaf' and 'Yr Ail Lyfr'), 'Awdl Gynghaneddol', an 'awdl' on 'Anian yn ei Phrydferthwch yn Datgan Gogoniant Duw', a Welsh translation of ['Safe in the arms of Jesus'], and 'englynion', etc. on various subjects. One notebook contains early items, 1848-50, by 'Fferyllfardd', together with items by W. Williams, Pwllheli [(?) 'Gwilym Heli', father of W. M. Williams ('Fferyllfardd')], including a transcript of 'Anerchiad at Dafydd Owain or Gaerwen neu Dewi Wynn of Eifion Pan yn byw yn Mhwllheli yn y flwyddyn 1826'. There are also a few press cuttings and a draft of a presidential address. The wrapping paper bears the words 'Gweithiau Fferyll-fardd. I'w Hadolygu - Gan Myrddin Fardd.'

Miscellaneous papers of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'), the items in his hand including an undated note written to a Mr Thomas (meaning of the word 'sinach'), a short memorandum relating to Llangybi almshouses, and a few biographical notes and copies of memorial inscriptions; the other items include an incomplete essay by 'Craffwr', dated 10 January 1819, which appears to be a reply in a religious controversy which referred to the use of titles of respect and to biblical criticism; an essay entitled 'Hanes neu fywgraffiad yr Apostol Paul' by 'Clement', (described as) one of the subjects of a competitive meeting held at Capel Helyg and Pencoed, 12 May 1859; adjudications by [Thomas Essile Davies] 'Dewi Wyn o Esyllt' on poetical compositions, dated 23 July 1860; adjudications, by Ellis Roberts ('Elis Wyn' [o Wyrfai]) and John Emlyn Jones, on an essay competition on 'Chwarelwyr Cymru', dated 23 March 1872; an adjudication, undated, on a competition for a guide book to Pwllheli and district; a short essay entitled 'Traethawd ar Fyrdra Oes Dyn' by 'Columbus'; a few notes relating to Bodvel [Caernarfonshire]; a note, with quotations in Greek, Latin and English, to illustrate that Virgil adopted the thoughts, and often expressed them in the same manner as, 'his illustrious predecessor' i.e. Theocritus; an undated note in pencil from [William Henry Roberts] 'Iseifion' to J.
