Letters to Margaret Gilcriest,

Forty-seven letters, 1924-6, from Saunders Lewis to Margaret Gilcriest. Early letters, 1924, discuss marriage and his family's opposition to Margaret because she was a Catholic. Later letters, 1926, to Margaret at Holyhead, contain references to the first Plaid Cymru Summer School at Machynlleth. Included is a letter to Margaret, 1924, from Ellen Thomas, Saunders Lewis's aunt.

Owen, i ddiolch am eu llythyr yn cefnogi ei safiad, ar ôl iddo danio ffrwydryn ar safle adeiladu argae Tryweryn ar y 10 Chwefror. Cafodd ei arestio yn fuan wedi'r digwyddiad, a'i ryddhau ar fechnïaeth ar y 21 Chwefror. = A letter, 24 February 1963, from Emyr Llew[elyn] Jones, Llandysul, to sixth-form students at Ysgol Ardudwy, Harlech, including William H. Owen, thanking them for their letter supporting his action in detonating an explosive device at the construction site of the Tryweryn dam on 10 February. He had been arrested soon after the incident but was released on bail on the 21 February.

Scripts for the radio programme 'in Britain Now'

File comprises scripts fr Patrick Hanna's contributions to a BBC Radio 4 programme entitled 'In Britain Now', where journalists from the 'regions' of the UK spoke on various topics . The topics covered by Patrick Hannan from Wales included devolution, Gwynfor Evans, the coal industry, miners' strikes, the clean up after coal, Plaid Cymru, Wales as a nation, the European Economic Community (EEC) and industrial illnesses notably pneumoconiosis. The file also contains typed transcripts of the programme which include contributions from correspondents in other parts of the UK.

Other matters discussed include the activities of the Welsh Nationalist Party mainly before 1945 and the state of Welsh literature in general during the period of the correspondence.
