The collection comprises mainly leaflets, correspondence and papers, 1924-1966, relating to Labour politics in the Brecon and Radnor constituency. There are also papers concerning the Labour Party in Wales, 1928-1952; the Parliament for Wales campaign, 1950-1956; Tudor Watkins's visits to Russia in 1961 and to Patagonia in 1965; papers concerning Tudor Watkins's elevation to the House of Lords in 1972; and material deriving from the Brecon and Radnor by-election in 1939.

The collection comprises correspondence and papers, 1982-1998, relating to the activities of the Campaign for a Welsh Assembly, later the Parliament for Wales Campaign. They consist of minutes of meetings, strategy documents, press statements, press releases, discussion documents and press cuttings.

Material concerning Ymgyrch Senedd i Gymru (The Parliament for Wales Campaign), May 1954-March 1955, consisting of a copy of the first issue of Welsh Clarion, May 1954; minutes for meetings of the Merthyr Tydfil and Dowlais Committee of the Parliament for Wales Campaign, 1 Dec. 1954-28 Feb. 1955; and a letter to Harri Webb from Elwyn Roberts, 22 March 1955, regarding the campaign and a decision to press ahead with the formulation of a petition.
