The manuscript also includes memoranda correspondence, 1863-5, between David Evans, William Morris ('Gwilym Tawe'), secretary of Swansea [National] Eisteddfod (1863), [Morris Williams] ('Nicander'), and John Griffiths, rector of Neath, relating to the inability of David Evans to recover a 'Casgliad ... o Draddodiadau Gwirebau a Diarhebion Cymreig' submitted for competition at the Swansea Eisteddfod; and a catechism or play entitled 'Gwyddorydd neu Holwyddoreg Anudonaidd. Twenty-four holograph letters and imperfect letters, 1857-1886 and undated, written by Owen Evan(s) [Jones] (O. Evans-Jones & Co.), from The Printing Office, Llanrwst, etc., largely to members of his family, and more especially to his brother Evan. Among the subjects discussed are personal matters; news of relatives and friends; the progress of Miss Eastwood; an address by Mr. Ambrose ['Emrys']; the Pentrefoelas Eisteddfod (1857); a proposed visit by the writer's father to London; the settlement of bills, and other money matters; 'Crafnant's recovery; the publication of almanacs; the valuation of houses at Bettws y coed; the writer's visit to London; printing equipment; Llanbedr [Harlech] fair; an article in Y Geninen by 'Scorpion'; agreements relating to properties in Llanrwst; the illness of the writer's sister Catherine; the sale of hay; repairs to a watch; etc. One of the letters is written on the blank spaces of a printed programme of a concert at the National School, Llanrwst, 16 February 1865, by [Lewis William Lewis] ('Llew Llwyvo') and Mr. W. J. Argent.

An album of annotated autographs, photographs and engravings, printed matter, press cuttings, etc., compiled during the years 1858-1881. The volume is almost entirely devoted to persons who were prominent in the literary and musical life of Wales during this period, and it appears from internal evidence to have been well known to the compiler's friends and contemporaries. The autographs are largely in the form of personal entries, recorded mainly at national and other eisteddfodau, but there are also a number of mounted holograph letters, 'cut-out' signatures from holograph letters, and franks. Seven holograph letters and one telegram, 1885-1915 and undated, from G[riffith] Hartwell Jones, rector of Nutfield, Surrey, to his uncle [Evan Jones] at [Portmadoc and] Llanrwst. Written from Llandovery, Rhyl, Nutfield, and Llandudno, they relate to the troubles of the writer's brother 'Willie' and a request to conceal his connection with the Army; the writer's travels; the authorship of a cutting; the receipt of newspapers; the death of the writer's aunt (1898); the connection of 'Pyll Glan Conwy' with the Lewis Morris press; destruction caused by World War I; etc.
