At the beginning of this section is a progressive list of poems ('Cynnwysiad o'r Cywyddau ...'), an alphabetical index ('Cynnwysiad Llyth'rennol') of first lines, and an index of poets ('Enwau'r Beirdd'), all in the hand of David Ellis, and an incomplete list of poets in the hand of Owen Williams, Waunfawr. According to a note at the end by David Ellis, 7 June 1777, the greater part of this section was transcribed from a manuscript believed to be in the hand of Siôn Brwynog [Cwrtmawr MS 312]. The third part of the manuscript contains a transcript of the text of 'Y Gododdin' ('Y Gwawdodyn') in old and modern orthography; an 'awdl' in English ('O michti Ladi, our leding...') by Ieuan ap Rhydderch ap Ieuan Llwyd ('o Ogerddan') or Ieuan ap Hywel Swrdwal, transcribed in 1785 from a manuscript of John Jones (Sion ap Wiliam Sion), Gell[i] Lyfrdy [sic]; and 'cywyddau' and an 'awdl' by Sion Phylip, Huw Arwystl, Sion Keri, Sion Tudur, Ieuan Tew Ieuaf, Sion Tudur ('o Wicwar'), Iorwerth Fynglwyd, Sion Mowddwy, Lewis Glyn Cothi, Sion Dafydd Siancyn, Risart Phylip, and Huw Llwyd Cynfel. At the end of the manuscript is a progressive list of poems ('Cynnwysiad') contained in the second section, an alphabetical index ('Cynnwysiad llyth'rennol') of first lines, an index of poets ('Enwau'r Beirdd') and a progressive list of poems ('Cynnwysiad') contained in the third section, all in the hand of David Ellis, together with an incomplete list of poets contained in the second section in the hand of Owen Williams, Waunfawr ('Owain Gwyrfai'). There are numerous additions, variants, and annotations in the hands of Owen Williams, P[eter Bailey] W[illiams], [Griffith Williams] ('Gutyn Peris'), and [Professor Thomas Gwynn Jones]. The manuscript is bound uniformly with Cwrtmawr MS 10 and 12 and the spine is lettered 'Dafydd Ellis MS'.

Miscellaneous papers consisting of occasional verses (2) repeated to J. H. Davies by his mother as attributed to W[illiam] W[illiams, Pantycelyn]; items in the autograph of Thomas E. Ellis, viz. a draft advertisement for his intended edition of the writings of Morgan Llwyd o Wynedd in two volumes and a draft of the foreword ('Rhagair') by T. E. E[llis] dated 'Dydd Calan 1899' to [Banciau pentre neu glybiau tir i dyddynwyr, gweithwyr, siopwyr, &c. ... (Bala, [1899]), a translation by Ivan T. Davies of a booklet by Henry W. Wolff]; and a holograph 'cywydd' by T. Gwynn Jones 'I'r Nyth Gwag ym Mro Gynin Mawrth 19 1910. I'm cyfaill, J. H. D.' in a wrapper addressed to J. H. Davies 'From T. G. J. with Compliments'.

Papers relating to the life and career of Edward Morgan Humphreys, including letters to E. Morgan Humphreys, from several prominent Welsh figures, 1900x1955, relating to professional matters, such as his articles and contributions to newspapers, requests for articles, radio talks, addresses, literary works, public appointments, his involvement with the eisteddfod and various committees; together with some letters relating to personal affairs, politics and literary matters and letters written to him in his role as an editor; miscellaneous and family ('Dyffryn') correspondence, which are mostly letters of the families of E. Morgan Humphreys' great-grandfather, the Rev Richard Humphreys, and of his grandfather, the Rev Edward Morgan, [1800]x1953; articles, radio scripts and addresses by E. Morgan Humphreys, 1902x1955; together with some personal and family papers, 1841x1955; articles, poetry, adjudications and letters to the editor of Y Genedl etc., by T.
