Portions of three documents, apparently parts of the previous binding, have been preserved at the end of the volume (pp. 99-100): they include part of a naval account of payments to shipwrights, watermen, etc., c. 1620; part of an award [temp. Elizabeth] by Thomas ap Richard of Bwlch y Beydu, Denbighshire, gent., in a dispute between David ap Rees ap gruffith lloyd of Llanrwst, yeo[man], William ap Rees ap gruff lloyd of Scrogennan, and Low[ ] ... widow, mother of the said William, relating to messuages and lands in Llanddoged and Gwytherin, late of Rees ap gruff lloyd deceased; a lease for life, temp. Elizabeth, from Richard lloid of Sweney, Salop, gent., to Richard Burley of the same, yeo[man], of mays yr hen westyn in Sweney.

Added to 'Pennillion i annerch Cymdeithas y Cymraegyddion yn 'Llundain. Y dôn yw blodau'r dyffryn' by Edward Charles is the following postscript, - 'Gresyn na fyddai beirdd Cymry yn 'r oes hon yn canu ar yr hên Geingciau cymreig fel y pennillion hyn: mae'nt hwyth[a]u yn barddoni y rhan fynycha, a'r ryw Geingciau seisnig, yr hyn sydd hollol anghyttun a pheroriaeth y Cymro'. On one of the fly-leaves is an imperfect list of correspondents in the hand of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'), with additions in the hand of J. H. Davies.

Part I is based on 'Llyfr Brith Corsygedol' (Peniarth MS 198) and Part II on a manuscript probably in the hand of John Jones, Gellilyfdy. There are imperfect lists of contents at the beginning of each part. Bound in at the end of the volume, also in the hand of Owen Williams, are 'englynion' ('I'r Iesu', etc.) transcribed in 1853 from a manuscript (1655) of William Salesbury of Bachymbyd; two versions of an address on 'Helynt y Cymry, eu hiaith a'u defodau, etc.' delivered at Eisteddfod Tywyn, Tre Fadog, and prepared for publication in the Carnarvon Herald; and a biography of Richard Jones ('Gwyndaf Eryri'; 1785-1848). The volume is lettered on the spine in gold: 'Owain Gwyrfai MS'.
