Howell Harris Diaries and Manuscripts,

The collection, 1735-1778, comprises a 'short account' of Howell Harris's life, a long series of diaries, 1735-1772, memoranda, 'observations' and notes, prayers, a few letters, a note, 1742, on the differences between Howell Harris (and John Whitefield) and John Wesley, a statement, 1744, on Harris's intended marriage, extracts from diaries, spiritual observations, minutes of associations, miscellaneous memoranda and receipts, and a series of notes relating to 'affairs at Trevecka'.

Letters to R. J. Davies,

General letters, 1853-1892, to R. J. Davies. Many relate to the affairs of the Calvinistic Methodist connection, preaching engagements etc. Others concern business and financial matters or local government. There are also a number of sympathy letters sent on the death of R. J. Davies's son 'Bertie' in 1879. The correspondents include Lewis Edwards, Y Bala, (2) 1871-1879, and Thomas Charles Edwards (3), 1873-1892. There is also a sympathy letter from Principal Thomas Charles Edwards to Davies's widow following his death in 1892.

William Williams, 1936-1944, 1971-1984; papers, 1937-1942, dating from his schooldays and college days; lecture notes; research notes on the history of Maengwyn chapel, Machynlleth, and the Methodist cause in Montgomeryshire; sermons etc.; and poems and stories written by Rev. William David Davies. There are also four notebooks including drafts, 1973, of an intended novel by Rev. William Williams on Rev. John Elias (1774-1841). The papers of Mrs Myfi Williams include notebooks and files of notes on local history; compositions submitted for various eisteddfod competitions, 1958-1976; radio scripts, 1961-1967 etc. There are also letters and cards. 1961-1908, addressed to Gwilym and Myfi Williams.
