Hughes, 1928, of a biographical essay (in Welsh) on the Rev. Thomas Meredith (1821-1901), rector of Newborough, co. Ang., and afterwards rector of Llanddeusant in co. Ang., by Hugh Williams of Pen-y-Gamdda, Newborough, carpenter (dec. 1916), 'Clochydd Niwbwrch Môn am 37 o flynyddoedd'. There are also some personal memoranda by J. R. Hughes - 'Nodion personol a theuluaidd', etc. Loose papers include some family photographs and a ballad sheet printed at the Catnach Press, London. A note in pencil by J. R. Hughes reads 'This Ballad Sheet is said to have been printed with the type that Benjamin Franklin used when he was a printer in London'.
