Glos., are trustees of the principal and interest of £2000 declared in an agreement made between Elizabeth, now wife of the said John Essingham, then Elizabeth Williams of the city of Gloucester, widow of Thomas Williams, esq., dec., and the said John Essington, 13 March 1670/1 (J 16); and the pedigree of David Williams of Shrewsbury, MD, 'now living' aged 30, the third but eldest surviving son of David Williams of Cornedon, co. Glos., aged 70, the grandson of Sir David Williams of Guernyfed, co. Brec. (d. 1612), signed 'Da Williams', 1683 (torn along the seams, held together by tape) (P 14); and a later copy of the same pedigree brought down to 1730, with a few annotations to 1744 and an endorsement down to E. Penfold, Loose Court, co. Kent, 1821.
