History of St Dogmael's: [No. I]

The remaining leaves of the first part of Henry Vincent's History of St Dogmael's, missing from NLW MS 5603B.
The manuscript consists of two contents lists (listing some 23 chapters) (19 ff.), chapters I-III and parts of chapter IV (foliated 1-32 with most numbers being repeated).

[Hollyhocks in flower]

On page 155 of 'A Wider Sky' (Gomer, 1991) KW talks of his stay at the hotel owned by Senor Emilo Bezuanartea in Puerto Madryn. He mentions 'a garden of roses and hollyhocks' at the hotel. This photograph was probably taken there.

[Holton Road, Barry & an unidentified rural scene]

Copies of two views - a street scene in which shops 'T G Tibbetts' and 'Follicks' (pawnbrokers) are prominent and a rural scene. Kelly's Trades Directory for 1901 lists Follicks pawnbrokers at 44 Holton Road, Barry and T G Tibbetts, Grocer at no. 46.
