[ Soldier, Royal Field Artillery]

Half-length studio portrait of a young soldier in the Royal Field Artillery. His arms are resting on the back of a chair in order to display his good conduct stripe and three overseas service chevrons. See also DCH Mil 232. On his shoulder is a divisional patch depicting a thistle, that of the Ninth Division.

[Soldier and his wife]

A studio portrait of a soldier wearing the 1916 economy tunic photographed with, presumably, his wife. She is seated on a rustic chair whilst he is standing behind her. Possibly he has been conscripted into the army. No indication of regiment / unit.

[Two soldiers, one a bandsman]

Full-length studio portrait of two privates, one in the uniform of a bandsman. The private in standard uniform is wearing the Imperial Service badge implying that he is a member of a territorial unit.
