The letters relate mainly to John Cowper Powys's work, the Welsh language and culture, and personal matters.

The file contains letters discussing the writer's progress as a student, his early poems submitted for publication, the progress of his career as a teacher at Beaumaris School and as a lecturer in the Department of Welsh, and they congratulate O. M. Edwards on his appointment as Chief Inspector of Schools in Wales in 1907.
