The holograph manuscript of the hymn-tune 'Bryn Calfaria' composed in 1850 by William Owen ('William Owen Prysgol').

A volume of holograph sermons by Robert Jones, Baptist minister, Llanllyfni, co. Caernarvon. One of the sermons is dated at his home at Ochr y Foel, 29 January 1883. Also included in the volume are two hymns and a catechism. At the beginning is a list of contents ('Cynnwysiad').

A tune book of Griffith Williams, Griolen, Llanuwchllyn, containing songs, hymn-tunes, and anthems. Eight of the compositions are attributed, seven to J. D. Jones, Ruthin, and one to E. S. Jones. Two of the compositions are written to words by Samuel Roberts ('S. R.'), Llanbryn-mair, and one to words by (Lewis (or Llewelyn?) Edwards] 'Llewelyn Twrog'.

A small group of holograph letters and papers from the library of John Jones, vicar of Nevern with Cilgwyn. They include letters from Thos. Evans, Llangoedmore, 1853 (the behaviour of 'an unworthy and notorious Parishioner' of the recipient's, etc.) (with a draft letter endorsed relating to tithe arrears), and J. Lewis, Yspytty, Wrexham, 1856 (the freight of a heifer from Swansea to Liverpool); an incomplete copy of a letter written from Nevern Vicarage, 1858 ('the Tryddyn business') (with stanzas of Welsh hymns endorsed); an estimate by Charles Davies, architect, 1852, of the repairs to be done to the Parsonage House of Nevern, with other buildings, fences, etc., on the glebe; etc.

A tune book, first compiled in the late eighteenth century, but bearing dates between 1786 (f. 33 verso) and 1858 (f. 19) and containing hymn-tunes, psalm-tunes and anthems, with some accompanying words in Welsh and English.

Tune book, watermark 1805 (ff. 2, 82, 101, 109, 126), containing psalm-tunes, hymn-tunes, and anthems, with accompanying words in Welsh, including 'Hymn iw chanu ar ddydd Nadolig yn Eglwys Llangadfan 1797' (f. 51 verso). Many of the tunes were copied, 1817-1825, by the Reverend Lewis Richards (1799-1860) (ff. 9-14, 47, 49, 53, 78, 87, 93, 99, 116, 126), and one tune was copied, 1819, by the Reverend John Jenkins ('Ifor Ceri', 1770-1829) (f. 119).

Tune book, mid-nineteenth century, formerly in the possession of Daniel Jenkins of Blaenpennal, Cardiganshire, and perhaps compiled by him, containing hymn-tunes. Accompanying words, where present, are mainly in Welsh. The first section (ff. i-xi) includes an index and a few Welsh hymn texts, as well as further tunes.

A composite volume of three small notebooks containing 'cywyddau', 'englynion' and English verses by 'Sioseb Nerquis', with some 'englynion' by 'I. Ddu' and 'Merddin Wylts [sic] o Nerquis'; and transcripts by Mary Richards, Darowen, c. 1861, of Welsh metrical psalms and hymns by Thomas Roberts ('Philo Cadfan'), Joseph Marpole, William Jones, John Williams (Dolgellau), and anonymous compositions. One of the hymns, dated 1861, is in memory of the Reverend James Hamer 'Offeiriad Llanfihangel [yng Ngwynfa] a Discybl i David Harris [?Carno]'.

A small notebook containing hymn stanzas partly in the autograph of D. Silvan Evans and partly in another hand [? that of John Henry (Silvan) Evans, son of D. Silvan Evans]. The hymns attributed to [Evan Pritchard] 'Ieuan Lleyn' are 'Nesau mae'r dydd - O ddedwydd wawr!' and 'Gweithredoedd Rhagluniaeth' ('Mor amlwg rhyfeddol weithredoedd ....'); in the case of the remainder the author's name is not given.

A copy of [John Roberts] 'Ieuan Gwyllt', Llyfr Tonau Cynnulleidfaol. Yr wythfed fil ar hugain (Wrexham, 1871), including also his Ychwanegiad at y Llyfr Tonau Cynulleidfaol (Wrexham, 1870). At the beginning and end of the volume are some notes of sermons heard, c. 1883-4.

A collection of holograph 'cerddi', 'carolau', 'emynau', 'penillion', and 'englynion', being an incomplete press copy of William Edwards ('Gwilym Padarn'): Eos Padarn (Llanrwst, 1829). The volume contains one poem not included in the printed work, namely 'Cerdd, Diolchgarwch i'r Cadpen Jones, a'r Dinas Llanwyndaf, am hen ddillad i Owen Williams, (Owen Llanddeiniolen) . . .'.

The titles include '[Awdl] i annerch Griffith Lewis o'r Ty-bach y mhlwyf y Cemmaes Medi 7fed 1821'; 'Englyn L. J. O'r Blue bell Machynlleth'; 'Cerdd Newydd o fawl i Mr. Edward Lloyd o'r Ty'n-twll y mhlwyf Llanfyllin Pregethwr Cynorthwyol gyda Wesleyans ... Ebrill 4ydd 1821'; 'Englyn i Arweinydd Robert Davies o Nantglyn' [i.e., Arweinydd i'r anllythyrenog ..., 4th ed., Dinbych, 1820]; 'Hymn Newydd ... The old Poets Owen Trefaldwyn Morris o fon &c used to stay with him'.
