A miscellany of prose and verse lettered 'Pigion' but known as 'Y Gell Gymysg', most of it in the hand of Thomas Evans ('Tomos Glyn Cothi'), minister, poet and author, but with 'Trioedd yr Offeiriad', on pp. 209-14, by and in the autograph of Edward Williams ('Iolo Morganwg'). Also included are poems by Edward Richard, Ystrad Meurig, William Moses ('neu Gwilim Tew, o Glyn Tâf'), Howel Prichard, Edward Evans, Ton Coch, Lewis Hopkin, William Harr[i], Llwyn-onn, William Davies (alias 'Wm. Dafydd Abercwmyfuwch, Gerllaw Pen y bont ar ogwr'), David Davis, Castell Hywel, Lewis Williams ('y Bardd Bach'), Jonathan Hughes, Huw Mor[y]s, Huw Gruffydd ('Gynt o Lwyn y brain Meirionydd'), John Jenkins ('Sion y Bardd bach Aberteifi'), Rees John, 'Weaver', John Howels, J. Morgans, James Davies ('Iago ap Dewi'), F[fowc] Prys, etc. Daniel Lleufer Thomas has inserted a comprehensive note relating to 'Tomos Glyn Cothi' and to the contents at the beginning of the volume. 'Tomos Glyn Cothi' has included in the volume several transcripts from contemporary journals.

A manuscript in the hand of David Richards ('Dewi Silin') containing transcripts of John Davies: A Display of Herauldry (Salop, 1716); 'cywyddau' and 'englynion' by Hugh Morys; 'Edeyrn Dafawd aur' (see Cwrtmawr MS 233); 'cywyddau' by Ieuan ab Hywel Swrdwal and Gruffudd ab Ieuan ab Llywelyn, and 'Chwedl Rhitta Gawr' from a transcript by Edward Williams ('Iolo Morganwg') of a manuscript of James Davies ('Iaco ap Dewi'); a 'Letter from Mr Owen [William Owen-Pughe], Author of the Welsh and English Dictionary, containing Remarks on the Structure of the Welsh Language, and on the Characteristic of the Gwentian Dialect ...', printed in William Coxe: An Historical Tour in Monmouthshire, part II (London, 1801), pp. 405-7; and 'cywyddau', an 'awdl' and 'englynion' by Hugh Morys, Jno. Davies ('o'r Rhiwlas'), William Miltwn, Doctor Sion Kent, Simwnt Fychan, Richart Phylip, Sion Philip and Sion Cain, and incomplete poems. Pasted on the inside lower cover is an imperfect printed prospectus of Seren Gomer, 1813.

An imperfect manuscript consisting mainly of a collection of Welsh poems in strict and free metres including poems by, or attributed to, Siôn Kent, Iolo Goch, Ieuan ap Rydderch ap Ieuan Llwyd, Iorwerth Vynglwyd, Taliessyn Benbeirdd, Twm ap Ifan ap Rhys, Tomas Lewys, Giles ap Siôn (one 'englyn' and ten 'cywyddau' numbered i-iii, v-xi), Mredydd ap Rosser, ? Hopkin Twm Ph'e, Davydd Benwyn, Thomas Brwynllys, William Dyvi, Siôn Mawddwy, Tomas Llywelyn Dyio Pwell 'or ygos ym Morgannwg', Davidd y Vann, Hwel D'd ap Ievan ap Rees, Ieyvan Daylwyn, Iefan ap Howel Swrdwal, Lewis Morgannwg, Meirig Dafydd, Sir Tho. Jones, Llywelyn ap Hwel ab Bifan, Dafydd ap Gwilim, Rys Nawmorr, Hvw Dwnn, and Ivan Dyfi. Included also are a copy of an English poem by Howel Swrdwal, a copy of a letter in Welsh from Ll[ywely]n Siôn [of Llangewydd, parish of Laleston, co. Glamorgan] to Wiliam Prys [of Briton Ferry], 27 July 1596 (see TLLM, t. 79; and L. J. Hopkin James and T. C. Evans: Hen Gwndidau . . . (Bangor, 1910), p. 278), and a prose item with the superscription 'Llyma friddwyd Gronw ddy ap Einon ab Add'. The volume is in several hands but the greater part is in the hand of one scribe possibly the Glamorgan poet Giles or Sils ap Siôn whose 'cywyddau' feature in the text (see TLLM, tt. 76, 87-92; and IMCY, t. 121). Ff. 18 recto-21 recto, excepting an 'englyn' and marginalia inserted later, are probably in the hand of the aforementioned Llywelyn Siôn [of Llangewydd]. The poems by Thomas Lewis (ff. 28 recto-verso, 82 verso), one of which is dated 1623, are possibly in the poet's own hand (see TLLM, tt. 87, 95). In the same hand, and possibly by the same poet, are the poems on ff- 56 recto, 58 verso, 79 recto, 92 recto. There is an inscription on the volume's previous cover (see note on binding) in the hand of Edward Williams ('Iolo Morganwg') (see note below).

A seventeenth century manuscript consisting of eighty-three folios containing transcripts of Welsh strict-metre verse, being almost entirely 'cywyddau' and 'englynion'. The poems were transcribed by Thomas ab Ieuan, the copyist of NLW MSS 13061-13062B, 13669B,13085B, in 1684 (see note in the scribe's own hand on f. 80 verso - 'Llyma lyfr kywyddav Thomas Ievan o Dre'r brynn ag ef i hvnan ai ysgryvennoedd ef pan oedd oedran yn harglwydd ni iesu grist 1684'; see also TLLM, tt. 170-71). Included are 'englynion' by Robin Ddu, Huw Pennant, Rhys Nanmor and others, and possibly the transcriber himself (see TLLM, tt. 170-71); 'cywyddau' by Robin Ddu (7), Rhys Nanmor, Huw Pennant, Dafydd Gorlech (2), Iolo Goch (3), Dafydd Nannmor (2), Siôn Mawddwy, Bedo Brwynllys, Guto'r Glyn (3) and others; and an 'awdl' ('odl vraith') by Rhys Nanmor. There are marginal notes in the hand of Edward Williams ('Iolo Morganwg').

A small volume written in the eighteenth century lettered on the spine 'Llyvr Dos=parth a Cadwe= digaeth Cerdd Dannau, I'. The scribe was David Jones ('Dewi Fardd') of Trefriw. The contents are as follows: pp. 1-23, 'Clod Cerdd ai Dechreuad' beginning 'Fy Mryd sydd ar hyn om llafur ddwyn ar ddeall it Darllewr . . . Eithr o arfer Cerdd Theoricall y Nef, ni ymadroddwn am dano' [cf. B.M. Addit. MS 14989, ff. 82 recto-111 verso, and also D. Gwenallt Jones, 'Clod Cerdd Dafod', in Llên Cymru, I, pp. 186-7, and Gwendraeth Jones, 'Siôn Conwy III a'i Waith', in B.B.C.S., XXII, pp. 23-4 in particular]; pp. 24-30, 'Gryffydd ap Cynan Twysog Cymru a wnaeth Gyfraith ar y Gwyr wrth Gerdd, yr hon a elwir Ystatud Gryffydd ap Cynan', beginning 'Llyma y sawl y sydd rydd yddynt Glera . . .' and ending '. . . a Disgyblion, gwedi Cael graddau or blaen mewn Eisteddfodau neu Neithorau Reiol. Ac felly y Terfyna Ystatud Gryffydd ap Cynan Twysog Gwynedd, ar y Gwyr wrth Gerdd'; pp. 32-54 , 'Naw o Gyd-gordiadau sydd mewn Desgant neu Brior . . .' followed by lists of airs, etc. ('Ar y Bragod Gywair', 'Y Clyme, y Gogywair', etc.) ending with 'Llyma'r 24 mesurau Cerdd Dant' and 'Llyma y Rheolau Cerdd Dafod'; p. 55, 'Llyma Lyfr a Elwir Cadwedigaeth Cerdd Dannau' beginning 'Nid amgen, Telynnau, a Chrythau o fewn 3 Talaith Gymru . . .'; p. 59, 'Llyma fal y nodwyd wrth Ystatud Gryff: ap Cynan, Rhoddion i bob Gradd yn ei Radd, o Gerdd Dafod, a Thant', beginning 'Tair Gwyl arbennig sydd nid amgen Nadolig, Pasg, ar Sul gwyn . . .'; p. 62, a 'cywydd' by William Llun ('Cywydd i ofyn Telyn i Siencin Gwynn, o Lan=idlos'); and pp. 65-71, a list of the names of bards ('Henwau'r Beirdd'), A-R, with one or two later additions, one name on p. 66 ('Gruffdd. ap Lln. Vychan'), being probably in the autograph of Edward Williams, 'Iolo Morganwg'. There is a triad on p.54. On the fly-leaf in a later hand is written 'Dosparth Cerdd Dafod'.

A notebook given to John Montgomery Traherne by Taliesin Williams ('Ab Iolo') in 1834, containing transcripts by 'Ab Iolo' of a poem by Ieuan ap Rhydderch ab Ieuan Llwyd to Mair o Benn Rys from a manuscript (not NLW MS 6511B) written by Llywelyn Siôn of Llangewydd in 1596 and of an English song in praise of Glamorgan by Sir John Stradling of St Donats from a copy belonging to Edward Williams ('Iolo Morganwg') .

A volume almost entirely in the hand of Mary Richards, Darowen largely containing poetry ('cywyddau', 'englynion', etc.) by Rowland Williams, Sion Philip, Guttun Owen, William Philip, Dr John Kent, Dafydd ap E[dmwnt], Edmwnt Prys, Robin Ddu o Fon, James Dwnid [recte Dwnn], Thom. Williams (1817), Iolo Goch, Ifan Tew Brydydd, Taliesin, Davydd ap Gwilim, Huw Arwystl, Hugh Morris, Edward Morris, Walter Davies ['Gwallter Mechain'], [David Richards, 'Dewi Silin'], Robert Parry (Eglwys fach), David Rowlands (Plas Isa, Dolgelley), Rev. D. Davies (Castle Caereinion), John Parry, Robert Davies (Nantglyn) and Hu ap Ier. ap Robert, and anonymous poems. Among other items included are a code of manners ('Dysg Vanners dda'); a pedigree of Oliver Cromwell; a drawing and a description of a brass object discovered at Hen fryn fawr near Caersiws [sic], Montgomeryshire, 1808, 'Teilyn[g]dod a theithi yr Iaith Gymraeg', etc. [from Edward Williams ('Iolo Morganwg'): Cyfrinach Beirdd Ynys Prydain (Abertawy, 1829)]; and a diagram illustrating the civil order and the ecclesiastical order of the months. Much of the volume appears to have been written during the period 1817-18 but there are some personal and other memoranda dated to 1857. Some of the items appear to have been copied from NLW MS 2691 ('Llyfr Pant Phillip').
