Ellis was the editor of the first volume of Gweithiau Morgan Llwyd o Wynedd (Bangor, 1899), in which was reproduced the text of the first edition of Llyfr y Tri Aderyn (1653) (pp. 151-266).

More substantial notes and quotations, on subjects including the Civil War and Commonwealth, Oliver Cromwell, John Milton, Catholic theology, the Fifth Monarchy and the Welsh Puritans, have been written on the additional leaves at the beginning and end of the volume (ff. 1 verso-15, 25 verso-26, 145-150), quoting various sources.

Lizzie Rowlands autograph album
An autograph album belonging to Lizzie Rowlands (née Jones), Penrhyndeudraeth, Merioneth, containing entries, 1860-1911, by R. J. Derfel, Thomas E. Ellis, William Rees ('Gwilym Hiraethog'), Ebenezer Thomas ('Eben Fardd') and others including a number of prominent Calvinistic Methodist ministers; together with pasted-in photographs of some of the above and family memoranda. The album was originally owned by Lizzie Jones's father Evan Jones, London House, Bala (f. iv) and includes notes taken by him from sermons heard at Calvinistic Methodist Association and other meetings, 1847-1849 (ff. 1-6 verso). Items found loose inside the volume have been filed separately (NLW MS 22010iiE): a letter from Lizzie Rowlands, 1885, and from Thomas Charles Edwards, Bala, 1896, relating to Lizzie Rowlands's association with Mary Jones, Llanfihangel-y-Pennant, and an address by Mrs Rowlands, 1904, containing an account of the walk to Bala to purchase a Bible as recounted by Mary Jones herself.

Miscellaneous papers, including an extract 'From the Mabinogion of Lady Guest' [cf. The Mabinogion ... translated with notes, by Lady Charlotte Guest (London, 1877), pp. 74-6], a list of early Welsh books (in the autograph of [Thomas Edward Ellis], an extract from Kinmel MS 76 [NLW MS 1576] relating to Thomas Lloyd of Penmaen, and a bibliography entitled '"Y Bardd Cwsc" by Elis Wyn o Lasynys' [cf. The Journal of the Welsh Bibliographical Society, Vol. IV, pp. 199-208]. There are also a number of blue wrappers from past issues of 'Beibl Peter Williams' (1770) and the Welsh edition of Cann's Bible (1790) with printed proposals, Trefecca, 1786, relating to the latter, and part of a notebook (eighteenth century), which belonged to David Jones of Bryn y Rhig near Dolgelly and others, containing a few 'englynion', etc.
