They include correspondence and papers relating to the attempts to unite Y Coleg Coffa and Coleg Bala-Bangor at Aberystwyth between 1981 and 1989. They also include the College's annual reports and accounts, financial papers, papers deriving from the proceedings of the committee set up to decide the location of a united college, and statistics relating to the attendance at the colleges. Typescript paper 'The Statistical and Intelligence Requirements of the Ministry', August 1946, prepared by G. H. Daniel as Head of the Statistics branch of the Ministry of Town and Country Planning from 1943 until 1947.

Correspondence and papers, 1991-1999, relating to the Liberal Democrats, mainly the local party in the Cardiff West constituency. Sir Goronwy Daniel joined the Party in January 1992.

Research notes by Sir Goronwy Daniel, press cuttings and printed items, 1972-1992, on the general theme of morality, personal freedom and the responsibility of the individual to society. Sir Goronwy gave a number of lectures on these themes.
