Porthmadog (Harbour) Trust papers,

Correspondence, memoranda, reports and other documents, leading to the Board of Trade Order, 1915, to incorporate a body of trustees to form the Porthmadog (Harbour) Trust. The trust was responsible for the acquisition of the harbour, its maintenance, and improvements to the harbour and its approaches. Correspondents include representatives of local authorities, The Oakley Slate Quarry, Board of Trade Development Commissioners, Ynyscynhaiarn U.D.C., Chancellor of the Exchequer [David Lloyd George], Ffestiniog Railway, Cambrian Railways and the Portmadoc Harbour Committee.

Register of stocks, 1877-1878, of Alexandra Slate Co. Ltd. Caernarfon, the Goodman Slate Quarry, Llanberis, the Cefn-du Slate Quarry Co., Waenfawr, and the Caermeinciau Slate Co., Waenfawr (all in co. Caernarfon), while trading as Jonathan Davies Slate Merchant. Register resumes with stocks and locations, 1879-1898, sales 1888, and details of shipments from Portmadoc, Caernarfon and other ports, 1884-1915.

Miscellaneous quarry reports,

Reports, prices, posters, plans, sale catalogues, letters and cuttings, relating to quarries in the UK, US, Norway and Australia, and the quarrying related industries. Of particular interest is bundle 64 which relates to the Kellow planing table, for which Davies Bros owned half the rights. Includes an index to the contents, compiled, 1951.

Tyrch quarry machinery and stock,

Correspondence and accounts between Ithel Davies and P. F. Campbell, 1940-1942, relating to the proposed purchase of machinery and stock at Tyrch and Llyn Quarries, Mynachlogddu, Pembrokeshire, together with a price list and particulars, 1933 and 1936.

Agreement,

Printed agreement between Ffestiniog District Slate Quarry Proprietors' Association, the Council of the National Association of Slate Merchants and Slaters, and slate merchants not members of the National Association, for a term of three years not to supply slates or slabs to businesses north of a line through Chester, Stratford, Bletchley, Haverhill to Lowestoft, as delineated on the map.

Pooling scheme,

Draft of a proposed report by the Standing Committee, on Mr Frederick Walker's pooling scheme designed to protect those companies trading in genuine Porthmadog slate.

Rules of the North Wales Quarry Association, [c.1931]; correspondence relating to wages agreements, 1933-1934; and a letter, 1930 in Welsh from the Transport and General Workers' Union regarding work conditions.
