Correspondence, memoranda, reports and other documents, leading to the Board of Trade Order, 1915, to incorporate a body of trustees to form the Porthmadog (Harbour) Trust. The trust was responsible for the acquisition of the harbour, its maintenance, and improvements to the harbour and its approaches. Correspondents include representatives of local authorities, The Oakley Slate Quarry, Board of Trade Development Commissioners, Ynyscynhaiarn U.D.C., Chancellor of the Exchequer [David Lloyd George], Ffestiniog Railway, Cambrian Railways and the Portmadoc Harbour Committee.
