Letters from Mrs Tydien Jones

The file comprises letters, c. 1907-1927, addressed to the Rev. Simon Jones; together with a letter, 1922, written to their adopted son, Watcyn, at Willaston School, Nantwich. Watcyn died in 1934 following a motor cycle accident.

The file comprises letters which relate mainly to the preparation of a collection of hymns for Unitarians, entitled Perlau Moliant (Llandysul, 1928), for which the Rev. Rees Jenkin Jones collected, selected and edited the hymns. The Rev. E. Ceredig Jones provided original hymns and translations of hymns. A few related letters from other correspondents are also included.
