Title deeds of properties called Talybont Ddrain, Tythyn y Llwyn Gwyn, Tyddyn Llidiart Lloyn Du, Bwlch Betty and Cleirie Ucha in the township of Uwchygarreg in the parish of Machynlleth, 1567-1689. They include a quitclaim by Ll'n ap Rees ap Ieuan ap Wilkog of Machynlleth to his son, John ap Lli' ap Rees, of Tythyn y Llwyn Gwyn, Tythyn Dol Gyradog, Tythyn Tal y Bont Drain, Tythyn Aber yr Hen Velin in Uwchygarreg, and other properties in Machynlleth, Penegoes and Darowen, 1567; a mortgage by Richard ap Owen Llewelin ap Gruffith, 1622, followed by a sale by John ap Richard ap Owen, to the mortgagee, Moris Jones, comprising Tal y Bont Ddrain, Bwlch y Betty, land in Blaen Hengwm, the site of a dairy house in Cwm Dole and a seat in Machynlleth parish church, 1634; mortgages by Moris and Rowland Jones, 1669-1678, followed by evidence of a sale to Rees Meredith, 1681. Tyddyn Llidiart Lloyn Du was conveyed by David ap Cad' to John ap Lle'n ap Res, 1571, passed successively to Richard ap John ap Lle'n ap Rees, John ap David ap Lle'n ap Gruffith, was mortgaged by David John David in 1648 and then sold to the mortgagee, John Richard, 1650; additional common lands encroached out of the manor of Cyfeiliog were granted by John Pughe of Mathafarn, 1657. There are several mortgages of Tythin Y Cleirie Ucha by Theodore Morgan 1658-1670, redeemed and reconveyed to the mortgagor in 1688. Finally it appears that Tyddyn Llidiart Lloyn Du, Talybont Ddrain and Bwlch Betty, a parcel of land in Blaenhengwm and the site of a summer house or dairy house in Cwmdole were conveyed to William Pughe of Mathafarn by Rees Meredith of Gwern Y Berre in Darowen, and Anne his wife, 1688; and likewise a conveyance of Cleirie Ucha by Theodor Morgan of Uwchygarreg, Gwen his wife and Griffith Morgan, their son, 1688-1689.
