Title deeds of various houses and lands in the township of Uwchygarreg and parish of Machynlleth, 1583-1682. Boundary clauses include a great stone at the foot Moel y Cerrig Gwynnion, Nant y March, Eskyr Y Corddy, Nant y Ki, the river Rheidol, Nant y Corlanne, Nant yr Eithin and Hyddgen. Properties include Tythyn y Place Duy; Tythyn y Maes David Las and Tythyn y Cay Llwyd; Llyest Newidd, otherwise Dole y Saint, in two feoffments between the Owen family of Peniarth, Merioneth, John Pughe of the Inner Temple [1672/3] and William Pughe of Mathafarn, 1679; Kay’r Gellogg, otherwise Penrhiw’r Velyn; Kae David Las, otherwise Kae Adda Las, and Kae Poyth, released by William Pughe of Mathafarn to Mathew Pugh of Cwmhirole in Cemais, and Elizabeth, widow of Richard Ellis of Machynlleth, 1676/7; and Ffryth, leased by William Pughe, 1681/2. Names of other parties include Owen David ap Rees of Penegoes and Lle'nn ap Rees ap Ieuan ap Wilkog, 1582/3; Rowland David Lloid of Machynlleth, 1601; his cousin Richard Owen, Sir Roger Owen of Condover, Salop, and Edward Pryce of Cynfel, Merioneth, 1615; Thomas Owen of Llynlloed, Montgomeryshire, and Henry Parry of Machynlleth, 1674.
