Sarah Emily Davies's 'Family chronicle',

Xerox of the original manuscript of parts 1, 3-7 (part 2, comprising pp. 101-200, is wanting) of 'Family Chronicle' by Sarah Emily Davies, founder of Girton College, Cambridge. Her father, John Davies (1795-1861), was a native of Llanddewibrefi, Cardiganshire.

Sampler,

A photograph, taken by Charles E. Harvey, Birmingham, of a sampler which has since disappeared, worked by Caroline Gore of Clyro in July 1868. The photograph is accompanied by a copy of the donor's covering letter, dated 15 Sept. 1990, giving the background story to the sampler which he came across during his researches into the diaries of the Reverend Francis Kilvert.

Salvation Army papers,

Copies of some thirty-five letters, 1884-1918, from various correspondents to Nellie Evans and to her husband, Jonah Evans, a Salvation Army Major. The original letters are housed in the Salvation Army Headquarters in London. For a volume containing a course of lectures delivered to Salvation Army Cadets, donated at the same time, see NLW MS ex 480.

Professor Hugh Rees, Aberystwyth. Two secretary's account books, 1912-1932, of the Rose of Glanmorlais Lodge (Loyal Order of Alfreds Friendly Society) at Llangennech, co. Carm. (NLW MSS 22167D-8B). Also a photocopy of the letter book, 1913-1932, of Thomas Rees, containing copy correspondence relating to his trade as builder and his work as secretary of the Rose of Glanmorlais Lodge.
