Adfeilion tai y tu ôl i'r Cei a ddisodlwyd yn llwyr yn 1812 pan gychwynodd y gwaith o wneud Cob Pwllheli. 'Cei' oedd yr hen enw ar y tai. Yn eu plith, y mae'n ymddangos, oedd hen dafarn Meitar. Roedd yr hen dollty rhwng y ty isaf yn Stryd Penlan a safle Festri Capel Penlan. // Ruins of houses behind the town's pre-1808 quay, that was completely eliminated after the work of building the Pwllheli Embankment was begun in 1812. The houses were called 'Quay' and in their midst was the orginal 'Mitre'. The old custom house was on the opposite side, between the lowest house in Penlan Street and the site of Penlan Chapel Vestry.

Acts of Parliament, following the Reports of the Commissioners appointed in 1786 relating to the Management of Crown Lands,

XXXVII, to extend the powers of the Commissioners, passed in the last Session of Parliament, for enquiring into the Collection and Management of the Revenue in Ireland; (e) 3 Geo. IV CAP. XLVIII, to enable the Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to sell out certain Bank Annuities now standing in their names and to apply the produce thereof in part Payment of a Loan of Three Hundred Thousand Pounds due to the Royal Exchange Assurance Company; and to facilitate the Sales of Fee Farm Rents and of small portions of the Land Revenue of the Crown; and for other purposes; and (f) 10 Geo. IV CAP. L, to consolidate and amend the Laws relating to the Management and Improvement of His Majesty's Woods, Forests, Parks and Chases; of the Land Revenue of the Crown within the Survey of the Exchequer in England; and of the Land Revenue of the Crown in Ireland; and for extending certain Provisions relating to the same to the Isles of Alderney.
