A fragment of the Welsh prose Brut y Brenhinedd written by a single scribe and dating from 1477.

The Laws of Hywel Dda, [c. 1380], (p. 1); religious and secular prose by a number of scribes, including a brief chronicle from the arrival of Brutus in 1230 BC to 1375 (of Welsh interest) and the number of years from the flood until the current year, 1404, (p. 225); Brutus Saxonum (p. 251); and englynion (p. 270), [pre 1416, mid-15 cent.].
The date of the foundation of Cardiff is noted in the Latin text. There are some later memoranda as well.

A collection of Welsh poetry compiled in the thirteenth century and a collection of Welsh poetry and prose compiled in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries.
The volume is divided into two sections: The first section includes verse by Cynddelw; the second section includes the following poems: Cyfoesi Myrddin, Yr Afallenau and Yr Oianau, and the following prose: Breuddwyd Pawl, Cynghorau Cadw Hen and Ystoria Judas.

The folios have been misarranged in the binding. This text seems to be the prototype of the version in Peniarth MS 5 (White Book of Rhydderch), Peniarth MS 10, and Jesus College Oxford MS 111 (Red Book of Hergest).

Mackworth, Thomas Mytton, William Neale, Richard Vaughan and John Williams, archbishop of York. Also included are notes by W. W. E. On pp. 1-13 the arms, painted, of John Williams and of offices held by him (excluding the archbishopric of York), with accompanying Latin verse, in calligraphic script, by 'Mercurius Pattenus' (p. 13). Added on p. 14 is the achievement, in trick, of Ystumcolwyn, [17-18 cent.]. On p. 16 are notes on the John Williams scholarships at St John’s College [Cambridge], cf. a note dated 1709 on f. ii.

The manuscript consists of two parts: The first part comprises a collection of pedigrees in the hand of Gruffudd Hiraethog, with some later additions, c. 1545, in the same hand. The second part of the manuscript comprises pedigrees; a list of receipts in the hand of Rhys Cain; etc.
One of the other hands is that of Siôn Cain.

The manuscript is in two parts: The first part comprises Welsh word lists selected under specific topics, and a Welsh, Latin and English list of courts. The second part comprises Welsh word lists under specific topics, including 'agriculture', 'family', 'furniture', 'crafts', etc., in the hand of John Jones, Gellilyfdy, 1621-1639.
