Papers of working parties

Minutes and agendas of working parties established by the Extension Board to consider the preparation of a report to the Russell Committee on non-vocational adult education in England and Wales, 1969-1970; to examine the principle of awarding Diplomas for Extra-Mural Studies, 1971-1972; and to consider and advise the Extension Board on the context of teaching Welsh to adults, 1973-1974.

Papers relating to the following Working/Planning groups set up by the Board: Working Group on Communications Technology, 1984-1985; Working Group to explore ways of using the University's resources for Welsh-medium teaching, 1986-1987; Planning Group to draft a co-ordinated development plan for Welsh-medium teaching, 1989-1990; and the Working Group on Teacher Shortages, 1988-1989.

Matriculation exemption forms

Forms completed by candidates having passed an examination recognised as equivalent to the University's matriculation examination, 1895-1917. The forms give details of previous education of individual students together with names, occupations and addresses of their fathers.

Registrar's correspondence, 1914-1917, statements submitted in evidence to the Commission, 1916, interleaved copies of parts of the Commission's Report, 1918, correspondence and papers relating to the Conference between the University and local authorities to implement the Commission's recommendations, 1918-1919, papers relating mainly to a meeting between a deputation of the University and local authorities with the Prime Minister, Lloyd George, 1918-1920, including a transcript of the meeting, copies of the Commission's Reports, 1917-1918, and a Statement to the Prime Minister following the Commission's Report.
