Biographical history
The Royal Commission on University Education in Wales, (which became known as the Haldane Commission after Lord Haldane its chairman), was established to propose constitutional, administrative and financial reforms of the University. Many of its very important recommendations were duly carried out with the granting of the University's Supplemental Charter in 1920.
