Correspondence, papers and financial documents, 1918-56, relating to several commercial companies with which Lord Davies was involved. These include the National Tiles Ltd, the National Stone & Granite Paving Co. Ltd., Cambrian & General Securities Ltd., and the CSC Investment Trust Ltd.

Much of the material relates to the strike and lock out in the coal industry in 1926. Many of the records derive from the Oceal Coal Company, the United National Collieries Ltd., the Bute docks, the South Wales and Monmouthshire Coalowners' Association, Wilson, Sons and Co.
