Miscellaneous papers,1917-37, relating to the establishment, development, activities and administration of the League of Nations Union and some other bodies persuing similar ends. They include the minutes of various committees and sub-committees, many memoranda and reports, the texts of speeches (some delivered by David Davies), relevant press cuttings, material concerning relevant publications, and posters and flyers. Some of the documents relate to the work and potential role of the League of Nations itself.

Files B2/1-B2/14 consist of correspondence, printed material (including some press cuttings), 1935-44, relating to the work and activities of the League of Nations Union (Wales), especially its council. File B2/15 comprises miscellaneous papers, dating from the 1930s, mainly printed items and press cuttings. File B2/16 consists of miscellaneous published material, 1920-39, mainly the publications of the Council of the League of Nations Union (Wales). File B2/17 contains miscellaneous correspondence and papers, 1929-44, concerning the administration of the League of Nations Union (Wales).

Correspondence and papers, 1920-34, relating to the establishment of the League of Nations Union (Wales) and its development up to 1934. Includes various memoranda and policy documents, minutes of various committees and sub-committees, papers concerning the organisation of conferences and meetings, monthly reports, and lists of local branches, their officials and their activities. There is also a small number of relevant press cuttings.

Lord Davies: General Correspondence,

General letters, 1940, to Lord Davies, many relating to the conduct of the allied war effort. Many are from politicians and public servants who are noted individually at file level. Files A7/4-A7/5 comprise copies of letters sent out by Lord Davies during the same year, many concerning the war effort.

General letters, 1933-34, to Lord Davies, interspersed with copies of some of his replies. Many of the letters relate to political themes and international affairs. Some concern the New Commonwealth Society, mainly its British Section, and Lord Davies's many publications in the form of volumes and articles. Some of the correspondents sympathise with Lord Davies on his successive bouts of illness during this period. Files A4/9-A4/10 consist of correspondence, 1933-35, between Lord Davies and Rear Admiral Gordon Campbell.

Comprises general letters, 1941-45, to Lord Davies, many concerning the course of the Second World War, interspersed with some letters from Lord Davies. In some cases related documents are attached to the letters. Significant correspondents are noted individually at file level.

Letters, 1934-1940, sent out on behalf of David Davies by his various secretraies, on a wide range of subjects, many on political themes and international relations. Some of the letters concern the role and activities of the New Commonwealth Society.

An unrelated group of material, comprising stray items, relating to the Davies family of Llandinam, 1788-1901, comprising photocopies of two letters, 26 May and 2 June 1788, from Dr Richard Price; a bound volume of press cuttings, taken principally from Shrewsbury and Oswestry newspapers, June 1856-July 1857, relating to the affairs of a number of railway companies in mid-Wales; material relating to the coming-of-age celebrations of Edward Davies, Llandinam, June 1873, and his son David Davies, July 1901; and a volume of press cuttings, 1887-93, describing mainly the sittings of the Royal Commission on Land in Wales and Monmouthshire, mainly within Pembrokeshire, and on the proposed harbour trust for Cardiff.

Files of correspondence and papers, 1920-41, relating to various Welsh organisations and interests within Montgomeryshire. They include the BBC in Wales, the Owain Glyndwr Institute, Machynlleth, the National Eisteddfod, the Montgomeryshire Hospital Trust, and the Territorial Army.
