At the end of the volume there is one loose folio (numbered pp. 203-4) in an eighteenth century hand containing verses (beginning wanting) to 'y twcca' ('nis Gwn'i pwy ai ganodd ond Hugh Hughes ai scrifennodd 1760') and 'englynion' (some attributed to 'E. Rob' and R. Jones).

A composite volume containing pedigrees in the autograph of Ebenezer Thomas (Eben Fardd; 1802-1863). There are two main sections, both indexed: (A) 'Llyfr Achau amryw Deuluoedd yn Neheubarth a Gwynedd. Adysgrifiwyd genyf fi Ebenezer Thomas 1843'; (B) 'Several of the Carnarfonshire Pedigrees with some others. Copied by Ebenezer Thomas from accredited Authorities 1846', with some later additions by 'Eben Fardd' and one or two loose papers, not all in his hand. Inserted between pp. 74 and 75 in the first section are verses 'On the proposed Restoration of Clynnog Church by the "Archeological Association", 1847 ...' by 'Ebenezer Thomas, Bard; Clynnog Vawr'. At the end of the volume preceding some blank leaves are seven folios, the first of which is headed 'A Next of Kin Investigation' (concerning Erasmus Lloyd). These contain a pedigree of the descendants of Allan Lloyd of Freystrop, Pembrokeshire, exhibited by (?)Erasmus Thomas, Penygelli near Carnarvon and copied by E[benezer Thomas], 29 May 1843, at the Crown & Anchor, Carnarvon, genealogical notes concerning the Lloyds of Penamser, [Ynyscynhaearn], extracts relating to legal actions, 1843, involving the Tremadoc Estate, 'The Family Register of Ebenezer Thomas of Clynnog', lines entitled 'On the Death of my Mother' composed by Ebenezer Thomas 'after his beloved mother who died March 12: 1821', and a pedigree chart, with notes, showing the descent of Ebenezer Thomas through his maternal grandmother from the Lloyds of Penamser. The volume has been annotated here and there by John Jones (Myrddin Fardd).

A manuscript by John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') containing an introductory chapter ('Rhagymadrodd Enwogion') on the worthies of Llŷn and Eifionydd (subsequently amended in turn to Eifionydd and to Caernarvonshire), together with additional notes and press cuttings on the subject. One of the labels on the outer upper cover is numbered '13' and another is inscribed 'Eben Fardd .... ac Enwogion amryw'.

A composite volume mainly in the autograph of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') containing the names of some Caernarvonshire sheriffs arranged under houses in Llŷn and Eifionydd ('Y Tylwythau o ba rai y penodwyd Siryddion Sir Gaernarfon o Leyn ac Eifionydd'), pedigrees of various Llŷn families (Rhiw, Cefnamwlch, Saethon, Trygarn, Cefnllanfair and Madryn), notes on heraldry ('Arfau Bonedd'), more pedigrees (Nanhoron, Saethon, with a leaf from an older manuscript concerning Saython [sic]), short extracts from Caernarvonshire pedigrees concerning clergymen, etc., 'Traethawd byr, y'nghyd âg adfyfyriadau, ar Ach Iesu Grist .... wedi ei gyfieithu o Ffrangaeg Abb Giraudeau, a chwanegu atto, gan y Parchedig Dr. A. Clarke; a'i droi i'r Gymraeg gan T. Roberts' (printed extract incomplete), 'Arfau Bonedd' (Llŷn families), and a transcript of 'The Pedigree and Genealogy of the Ancient and Worshipfull Family of Jones of Llwyn Onn in the Parish of Wrexham and County of Denbigh collected out of the Books of Owen Salusbury of Rug Esqr. and other Authentick Genealogists by John Salusbury De Erbistock Anno Domini 1675'. Loose in the volume are a letter, ?1903, from the Reverend Evan Evans, Llansadwrn Rectory, Anglesey to 'Myrddin [Fardd'] (the name of a subscriber for the addressee's book, genealogical queries), and holograph verses by [Ebenezer Thomas] 'Eben Fardd' beginning 'Fenywod hawddgar! dowch o'n plaid'. The first section of the manuscript is marked 'Copy No 30'.

A scrap-book belonging to John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') containing notes and press cuttings relating to churches and parishes, etc. in Llŷn and Eifionydd, Caernarvonshire, with a few references to places outside that area, e.g. Abergwili, Carmarthenshire and Brongwyn, Cardiganshire. At the reverse end are copies of memorial inscriptions, a note on 'Ffordd Maughan', transcripts of two letters, 1860, from [Ebenezer Thomas], 'Eben Vardd', Clynnog to Mr John Roberts [?Sion Lleyn], and brief notes on mansions in Llŷn and Eifionydd, etc. Letter (?) 'I' on spine.

Letters and miscellaneous papers comprising two letters [+], 1693, from Ch[arles] Owen, Oswestree to the Lady Archer near Epping in Essex (acknowledging all the expressions of her ladyship's extraordinary favours to him, mentioning that after a tedious ramble and censorious suspicions he came home in safety, the liberality of friends, 'Yet all this will not do for a Compensation for the injury done me', he desired his brother to assist Mr (?) Durrant in adjusting those wretched differences at Epping - her Ladyship's honourable attempts towards it); seven letters [+] from T[homas] Burgess, successively bishop of St Davids and of Salisbury, one written from C[orpus] C[hristi] C[ollege], Oxford, 1787, to T[homas] Falconer, Esq'r, Chester (thanking him for the present of his little book, requesting the addressee's opinion on the meaning of a passage from the Gospels and quoting from the preface to a second edition of the [Salisbury] spelling-book), two, possibly three, written from Abergwilly Palace and London, 1813-14, to the Reverend T. W. [recte T. D.] Fosbrooke, Walford, near Ross (commending the addressee's intention of publishing a 'cheap comment' on the New Testament, he seems to have taken up a very wrong conception of the Bible Society) and three written from Salisbury, 1831, to Mr Strong, bookseller, Bristol (instructions re books, was very sorry to see that the addressee has been a sufferer by the late disastrous events at Bristol); a copy of an engraved portrait of the Right Reverend Thomas Burgess, DD, Lord Bishop of Salisbury; a letter, year not given, from Joseph D[?ownes], Builth to [John Dix] (acknowledging the addressee's most welcome letter belying his wife's guesses, the indirect source of the addressee's recovery from misfortune if not illness, his own writing, mention of Edinburgh, etc.); a note, 1811, from Mr Pennant, Downing to a Mrs Williams (complying with her request on behalf of Hugh Shone and his aged wife); a list by J. Munby to the Keeper of Manuscripts, National Library of Wales). # - The wrapping paper has on it 'Phillipps MSS 34929' in pencil in the autograph of J. H. Davies but, with the exception of the 'inventory of goods', the contents of this package do not appear to correspond to the description of Phillipps MS 34929 as given by Dr Munby in his letter, although Phillipps MS 34929 was purchased by J. H. Davies.

There are also copies of two short letters to Evan Evans from Roderick Lewis, Trefeglwys, and William Howell, Llanidloes, which were written on the same sheet as Edward Richard's letter of 1 March 1766. A transcript of a letter from Edward Richard, 1766, to Richard Morris (from BM Add MS 15025), and extracts from letters from Edward Richard to Lewis Morris, 1759 and undated (from BM Add MS 15029). A holograph letter from Edward Richard, Ystradmeuryg, 1762, to Lewis Morris, Penbryn (published in Hugh Owen, op. cit. Part II, pp. 562-3). File 5: A holograph letter from [the Reverend] W[illiam] Davies, Llanwryn [Montgomeryshire], 1710, to Henry Newman at the Reverend Mr Shute's in Bartlet's Buildings, London (receipt of letter and a packet from the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge, subscriptions from other parishes, has partly prevailed with a certain minister to become a corresponding member). The letter bears the number 2381 (see Mary Clement (ed.), Correspondence and minutes of the S.P.C.K. relating to Wales 1699-1740 (Cardiff, 1952), p. 35. Abstract No. 2381). The letters are addressed to John Roberts ('Sion Lleyn'), Pwllheli (4), 1791-1806 (corrections to addressee's poetry, tributes to writer's brother, Humphrey, after his death, some short poetical compositions by the writer), to Griffith Williams ('Gutyn Peris'), Llandygai (8), 1799-1819, (poetry, subjects upon which writer desired addressee to compose hymns, meetings of bards and eisteddfodau, comments and news of contemporary poets, writer's health and work), and one letter, addressee not named, 1804, (addressee's poetry which writer had received, desires addressee to render 2 Samuel XXII in strict metres and to ask other poets to do the same). 'Ode to Charity', a translation into English [by Ebenezer Thomas ('Eben Fardd')] of the 'awdl' on the subject 'Elusengarwch' by David Owen ('Dewi Wyn o Eifion'). The translator's name is not given but a note at the top of the first page reads 'Rec'd a Sovereign from J. Maughan Esqr. for Translating this'. There are some notes and emendations in pencil in another hand. On the last page, following the translation, are thirty-eight lines of an elegy in Welsh, (?) incomplete, on the death of [Frederick, Duke of York]. Pasted in at the beginning is a press cutting headed 'Darlith i'r Saeson. Araeth Mr Lloyd George. Bywyd a Barddoniaeth Cymru' giving an account of an address Lloyd George gave as chairman of a concert at Llanystumdwy.

A volume made up of fourteen letters, 1819-1851, from John Jones (Tegid or Ioan Tegid, 1792-1852), Oxford and later Nevern, to various correspondents. The details are as follows: six letters, 1819-1826, to the Rev. Thomas Richards, Berriew (the education of the addressee's brother and of E. Evans [probably 'Ieuan Glan Geirionydd'], a 'cywydd' on the death of Mrs Bosanquet, literary matters, adverse criticism from the bishop of Llandaff [William van Mildert] of a proof-sheet of the edition of the Welsh Prayer Book which the writer had undertaken to superintend); four letters, 1820-1824, to the Rev. David Richards, Llansilin (the education of the addressee's younger brother [Lewis], literary matters, the addressee's marriage, etc.); one letter, 1839, to Miss Angharad Lloyd [sic] (the Liber Landavensis is now in the press, he has completed his Welsh version of Isaiah direct from the Hebrew); one letter, 1846, to Owen Williams, Waenfawr (literary matters, criticism of the addressee's proposed 'Vocabulary'); one letter, 1851, to [Ebenezer Thomas] Eben Fardd (re. adjudicating the 'pryddestau' on 'Golygfa Moses &c'); and one letter, 1850, to the Rev. A composite volume compiled by John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') containing press cuttings, pedigrees (transcribed in part from manuscripts of Owen Griffith, Llanystumdwy, Ebenezer Thomas, ('Eben Fardd') and Ellis Owen, Pant Phylip, Llangelynin), and miscellaneous papers, including pedigrees in various hands and letters, some pasted in or inset, others loose. The correspondents include Owen Evans, Broom Hall, 1875, R. O. Williams, Bangor, 1846 (copy), Edw. H. Owen, Ty Coch, [18]93 and 1896, and Jno. E. Griffith, Bangor, [19]10. There is material, chiefly press cuttings, concerning Richard Lloyd Edwards, Nanhoron, Rowland Jones, Broom Hall (also known as Rowland Jones, Weirglodd Fawr) and his father, Rowland Jones the philologist, Sir Love Jones Parry, Madryn, and others. One or two items in the volume appear to be in the autograph of Ebenezer Thomas ('Eben Fardd') and the loose papers include a pedigree of Ucheldref, Gwyddelwern in an early eighteenth century hand (damaged). Another pedigree headed 'Llannerch fawr' is dated 'Machynlleth Feb. 1861' and is connected with the Reverend John Evans (1815-91), afterwards archdeacon of Merioneth (?transcript), and the volume also contains one or two notes in the autograph of Jonathan Jones, Caernarvon. A volume written largely in the autograph of Ebenezer Thomas, ('Eben Fardd') and described on the title-page as 'Llyvyr y Llwythau Cymreig yn cynwys Taflenau Achol o'r Pum Llwyth Breninol a Phymtheg Llwyth Gwynedd ynghyd a Byrdraith hanesiol am Sylfaenwyr yr amrywiol Lwythau a Gwroniaid Cymreig eraill Eu Preswylfeydd, Tiriogaethau, Paisarfau a Disgynyddion. Casgledig gan Ebenezer Thomas, Clynnog, Hâf 1843.' At the beginning of the volume are 'A Map of North Wales' [Anglesey and West Caernarvonshire] and a list of the contents to p. 69. More than half of the volume is blank but the written pages after p. 69 contain, among other things, details of 'Villas [Vills] in Eifionydd' ('Abridged from a letter of the Rev. J. Jones Llanllyfni to Ellis Owen Esq. Cefny meusydd'), pedigrees of Rhwngyddwyryd (Dolbenmaen), Rhiw and Bodfel (Llŷn), and Cefn Coch in Anglesey, etc., 'Carol Nadolig, 1859 - ar "Diolch i Ti yr Hollalluog Dduw &c"' by E. Thos ('Eben Fardd'), a petition (draft), undated, from Jane Jones of Penarfynydd in the parish of Abererch, Caernarvonshire to the bishop of Bangor and the other trustees of the Llandwrog Almshouses, particulars of the ancestry of Tho[ma]s E. Roberts, Hendre, Abereirch sent by him to Eben Fardd, 24 July 1861, and a printed prospectus, undated, of 'The Works of the Bards of Llyn and Eifionydd, collected by Myrddin Fardd'. Loose between pp. 27 and 28 are notes by J. Jones, Llanllyfni, May 1844, headed 'A. D. 1352. Hanes ardrethol Cwmmwd Isgorfai', and pasted on to these or vice versa is a printed sheet concerning Gwydir Chapel, Llanrwst (J. Jones, Printer, Llanrwst). Facing the title-page of the volume is a label bearing the words 'Llyfr Achau ac Arfbeisiau y 5 Llwyth Breninol a 15 Llwyth Pendefigol Gwynedd ynghyd au Disgynyddion, &c.' and above it John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') has written 'Costiodd y Llyfr yma i mi ddwy bunt heblaw talu am ei rwymo wedi hyny.'
