Papers relating to Garreg (9 a.), p's St Woolloos and Basaleg and man. Dyffryn, comprising a memorandum of a court roll, 1612 (M45/6) and copy petition of William Herbertt of Cogan Pill, co. Glam., esq., to the King, concerning lands called the Garreg, a capital m., etc., a grist mill and five parcels of land called Cay Ironett and Flax hay, p. St Woolloos and man. Greenfield, held in copyhold by the petitioner's father, William Herbett, until his death about 4 years ago and now withheld by Roger Sayes, Alexander Sayes and Florence Sayes, two of the sons and the widow of Alexander Sayes, dec., about 2 years ago, who had got into his hands all the copies of court roll, the court rolls themselves, and the surrenders concerning the above premises, [c.1634] (M45/7).
