Letter from M. Brosio, Italian Embassy, London, to Clement Davies, 3 November 1954,

Thanks for Clement Davies's 'sensitive' letter. Is sorry to be leaving Britain, but rejoices that the agreement for Trieste has been concluded. Hopes that the 'serious sacrifices' heaped upon Italy will result in closer relations between Italy and Britain. Thanks Clement Davies for his 'authoritative and friendly understanding'.

Bound Volume of the first volume of World, Summer 1955-Winter 1956-57,

Endorsed 'Presented to the Right Hon. Clement Davies, QC, MP, President of the World Association of Parliamentarians for World Government, this slight record of his work with love and admiration and best wishes to him and to his Jano, Christmas 1957'. 32 Signatures follow. Attached is a letter from Gilbert McAllister to Clement Davies, 31 December 1957. Regrets that Clement Davies and Jano were unable to attend a party to welcome Janet Hartog back from her travels. Is enclosing a bound volume of the first volume of World, 'containing as it does such a considerable record of your wonderful work for world peace, and we got most of the guests to sign the book which I am now sending you'. Will forward the detailed itinerary for Switzerland and Italy soon [F/1/97].
