W. Rhys Nicholas papers, [1864]-1996, which were donated in 1996 (1-185), and are not described here, comprise personal letters and other letters relating to his work as editor; his compositions such as his hymns, especially his famous hymn 'Pantyfedwen'; his research work for publications; addresses; biographical papers; papers of other individuals; and printed material. The additional papers, 1914-[1988], received January and September 2002 (186), comprise personal papers of the Rev. W. Rhys Nicholas including various certificates presented to him; a letter, 1952, inviting him to be minister of Horeb and Bwlchygroes, Llandysul; together with papers collected by the donor after his uncle's death. There are tributes to W. Rhys Nicholas among the papers received in 2008 (187) among the papers received in 2008 including a tribute by Derwyn Morris Jones published in Yr Hogwr (community paper), December 1996 (based on what he said in the funeral service); funeral service card, 2 October 1996 and the memorial service, 23 November [1996]; and a report of the unveiling of a memorial to him at Tabernacl Church, Porth-cawl, 1997.
