= Letters to John Meirion Morris from various correspondents, including institutions such as Cywaith Cymru, the National Museum of Wales, University College of Wales Aberystwyth, the Arts Council, Wales Arts International, the Gomer Press and the National Library of Wales, and individual correspondents such as the poet and writer Nesta Wyn Jones; the Welsh artist Aneurin Jones; Professor Karî'kachä Seid'ou of the Fine Arts Department of Kwame Nkrumah University, Kumasi, Ghana, where John Meirion Morris lectured from 1966 to 1968 (see note in main section of archive), together with letters of response from John Meirion Morris to Professor Karî'kachä Seid'ou (see also letters from two of John Meirion Morris' lecturer colleagues at Kumasi University, namely Graham Wilton and Terry Ingersoll); the priest, dramatist, poet and writer Aled Jones-Williams; the chaired bard Myrddin ap Dafydd, enclosing englynion (strict-metre verses) in memoriam to the composer Gareth Mitford Williams (1950-1982) (for Gareth Mitford Williams, see, for example, NLW Facs 441/2 in the National Library of Wales' collections); the artist Iwan Bala; the sculptor and art historian Peter Lord; the author T. Llew Jones; the artist Kyffin Williams (congratulating John Meirion Morris on being elected to the Welsh Royal Academy); the academic and poet Professor Gwyn Thomas, University College of Wales Bangor; Rowan Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury; the poet Dafydd Islwyn; and the calligrapher and sculptor Ieuan Rees (enclosing a draft plan for engraving John Meirion Morris' house name). A considerable number of the letters were sent in response to viewing John Meirion Morris' work. Items of interest include a note, 1 March 1989, from the University College of Wales Cardiff notifying John Meirion Morris of his successful achievement of an M. Phil. degree, and a letter, 19 July 1976, from Goronwy Daniel, Principal of University College of Wales Aberystwyth, urging John Meirion Morris not to seek to curtail his weekly lecturing hours.
