Biographical history

The decision to form an Executive Committee of the English Language Section of the Academi was made in the Annual General Meeting of March 1974. This reflected the formalisation of the structure of the Academi following the establishment of an office and the appointment of paid officials. The Committee was responsible for general policy decisions and the supervising of planning and the administration of Academi affairs and events. On average, it met four times a year, usually at the Academi's offices in Cardiff. The Committee was answerable to the Annual General Meeting.
