Biographical history

Sir Daniel Lleufer Thomas was born in Cwm-du near Talley, parish of Llandeilo Fawr. He was a barrister-at-law, and also served as stipendiary magistrate for the Rhondda district of Glamorgan, Secretary of the Royal Commission on Land in Wales and Charter member of the Court of Governors of the National Library. He contributed numerous articles to the Dictionary of National Biography and other publications.
