The fonds comprises papers, 1950-2002, relating to the New Welsh Review, including correspondence, 1987-2001; editorial papers, 1989-1995 and 2000; contributions to the journal, 1988-2002; administrative papers, mostly concerning marketing and publicity, 1986-2001; together with various accumulated papers, 1950-2001. Papers donated in 1998, and described in NLW Minor Lists and Summaries 1999, have been incorporated within this archive.

Holograph letter, dated 7 January 1938, by Dylan Thomas to Keidrych [Rhys], sent from Blashford, in which he informs KR that Augustus John is trying to contact him regarding a portrait, expresses his own frustration at KR and the publication of Wales magazine, and enquires if KR is compiling a bibliography of his (DT) work.
