Account of the resolutions of Parliament concerning contested elections in the boroughs of Abington, Agmondesham, Aylesbury, Alburrough, Andover, Ashburton and Arundell during the period 1624-1708/9. The format of the volume and the alphabetical arrangement of its material shows that it is very incomplete. [This may be the work of Thomas Carew of Crowcombe, Somerset, M.P. for Minehead, 1739-1747, who published 'An Historical Account of the Rights of Elections' in 1755. This work is described in The History of Parliament as a 'compilation of all the reports of the elections committees of the House of Commons']. A volume certainly belonging to Carew in this collection is NLW MS 17070E. Paper; pp. 1-83; 313 x 200; full parchment.
