Papers, 1956-2012, of the professional artist exhibiting association 56 Group Wales (formerly the 56 Group) which include publicity material (including catalogues and posters); printed publications; audio-visual footage; photographic print blocks; financial records; insurance papers; agendas and minutes of annual general meetings, extraordinary general meetings and Group meetings; and a voluminous correspondence, largely between the Group’s secretaries and its executive committee and other members, the Welsh Arts Council, exhibition venues, accountants and auditors, etc.

Notebooks of A. Foulkes-Roberts, [c. 1882]-[1941], containing extracts from parish registers, mainly from Denbighshire and Flintshire; transcripts of tombstone inscriptions and church memorials, copies of probate records from the Dioceses of Bangor and St Asaph, and the Principal Probate Registry; and notes and extracts from marriage licence bonds, clergy subscription books and other St Asaph diocesan records. The copies were made by A. Foulkes-Roberts and his brother R.D. Roberts.

Papers of A. G. Prys-Jones and, to a much lesser extent, of his friend Don Dale-Jones. A. G. Prys-Jones's papers include letters from him, mainly to Don Dale-Jones, 1967-1987; letters to him from various literary figures, 1934-1987; poetry, including drafts for his published collections, [c. 1923]-[c. 1987], unpublished collections, [c. 1924]-[c. 1968], other published and unpublished poems, 1913-1969, and some poetry notebooks, [c. 1984]; prose works, including short stories, [c. 1930s]-1975, and plays, 1932-1972, many of which were either published, performed or broadcast; drafts and press cuttings of articles and reviews published in newspapers, particularly the Western Mail, 1929-1968, as well as unpublished articles, [c. 1947]-[1960s]; press cuttings of articles about and reviews of Prys-Jones' work, 1923-1987; typescript copies and drafts of The Story of Carmarthenshire and other works, 1941-1972; papers relating to Welsh history, including education in Wales and Llandovery College, 1908-1970; drafts and typescripts of talks, lectures and speeches, including radio scripts, 1937-1958; poetry, prose and lectures by other authors, 1924-1987; and other personal papers and ephemera, 1933-1986. Don Dale-Jones's papers comprise letters, mainly from Dudley G. Davies, 1975-1989.

The collection comprises photocopies of letters, 1748-1872, in the custody of the Methodist Archives and Research Centre, London; notebooks containing transcripts of documents and research notes taken from Methodist publications, NLW manuscripts and other sources in the custody of the National Library of Wales; photocopies of other sources; letters, 1929-1991, to A. H. Williams from scholars and researchers discussing mainly various aspects of Welsh Wesleyan Methodist history; and copies od related articles, addresses, press cuttings etc.; typescripts of books and articles written by A. H. Williams and other scholars.

Photographs taken by A J Sylvester of David Lloyd George, his families and entourage. The majority are of motoring holidays and cruises to mainland Europe. Included are his cruise on 'Sabrina' in 1929 and recalled in chapter 14 of 'The Real Lloyd George' by A J Sylvester (London, 1947).Others are of D Ll G's estate at Churt.

Papers, [1880s]-1914, of Alfred Neobard Palmer, including journals, 1883-1914 (with gaps), notebooks, [1880s]-[c. 1909], and miscellaneous notes. The material is mainly concerned with personal and antiquarian material, with especial reference to Denbighshire and Flintshire.

Four scrapbooks, compiled [1900]-[1910], containing press cuttings and letters, [1869], 1893-1910, relating to the political career of A. Osmond Williams, MP, and to his son Lieut. Osmond T. D. Williams.
The scrapbooks were evidently compiled by a member of A. Osmond Williams' family, probably his sister Alice or his mother Annie; with a few exceptions the cuttings are dated no later than early 1904, coinciding with Annie's death in June of that year.

Manuscripts and papers, 1825-1938, of or collected by A. Stanley Davies, consisting mainly of correspondence addressed to Abraham Howell, solicitor, of Welshpool, by members of his family, including his cousin Samuel Roberts (S.R.); together with other correspondence and papers of the Howell family, and letters addressed to Arthur Stanley Davies. The majority of the material is of Montgomeryshire interest.
