Original manuscript draft, [?1911], of D. J. Saer, The Story of Cardiganshire (Cardiff, [1911]), a volume for schoolchildren, describing the geography and history of the county, published as part of the Welsh County Series.
The manuscript consists of the main text (ff. 1-140) with many annotations and corrections (including new sections pasted in on ff. 2, 3, 27), a list of notable Cardiganshire men (ff. 141-150), glossary (ff. 151-152), bibliography (f. 153) and contents (ff. 154-155). Draft versions of maps and diagrams are on ff. 2, 156-165; several photographs, including some reproduced in the printed version, are pasted in on ff. 14, 18, 24, 25, 28, 33, 35, 83, 87, 89, 90. The preface, list of maps and pictures and index are not included.
