The Curriculum Council for Wales (Cyngor Cwricwlwm Cymru) was established in August 1988 as an independent advisory body appointed by the Secretary of State for Wales to offer professional advice on the curriculum for schools in Wales. Its responsibilites included all aspects of the curriculum, including its development and review, and the dissemination of information relating to the curriculum.
