(A) The extracts from the appendices of the Annual Reports of the Commissioners of Woods, Forests and Land Revenues of the Crown for every year from 1853 to 1939, detailing all particulars of sales of crown fee farms in the commotes of Afloegion, Cwmwd-y-maen, Dinllaen and Eifionydd of the county of Caernarfon, noting the existence of such sales in the other commotes of the same county and in the other counties for Wales as a whole. Also noted are the leases and sales of crown lands in Caernarfonshire and in parts of Carmarthenshire. Leases in many, if not most, instances post-dated the initial occupation of premises by the lessees, a fact probably not disclosed to the lessor. Confirmation, it appears, of a perennial lack of vigilance by officials of the crown estate. (b) The Annual Reports of the Crown Estate Commissioners from 1957 to 1982.
