Title deeds for a messuage called Crewedog and the surrounding lands in Crewedog, Tyllfaen, Pentir, Bangor, Maenol Bangor, Glasinfryn and Tregwyr-rhyddion. They include a deed of sale by William Thomas to Richard Bulkeley of Beaumaris, 1584; a bond of 1586 which, with recitals in the later deeds, indicates that R.B. sold the property to Thomas Mostyn, subject to £8 annual rent charge; a final concord of the lands of Piers Gruffith of Penrhyn, 1592; a deed of sale by Thomas Mostyn, in conjunction with Piers Gruffith, of the dower lands of his wife Katherine, late widow of Sir Rees Gruffith, to Richard Gwynne of Bangor in 1597; revocation of uses, 1598, created upon Sir Richard Bulkeley’s estates in Crewedog, Tyllfaen, etc. in a previous deed of 1585 [missing]; a mortgage by Piers Gruffith followed by a sale to Richard Gwynne of Tythyn John Thomas ap Gwilym, Tyr y Bedo and Tythyn William Harry, 1598-1599; and several original and copy bonds, 1597-[1614], a conveyance by Piers Gruffith to Richard Gwynne of lands in Bangor, Maenol Bangor, Tregwyr-rhyddion and Cororion, 1600, and a copy conveyance of Nanporth by P.G. and Richard Bulkeley, [c. 1600], for securing payment of an annual rent charge.
